How Embarrassing is this? Help me Name this Blog.
I’ve finally broken down and jumped head first into something I’ve wanted to do for years….starting my own blog. I’ve always been one to adopt technologies before most, but for many years my work schedule precluded much more than just reading blogs on various topics of interest. I’ve thought it was time to bring this conversation closer to home.
Now the dilemma…What should we talk about (theme) and what should we call it (domain)?
I’ve taken a first stab trying to articulate what my interests were and the first few “topics” that would likely dominate the site. Refer to the original post for more details on what you will likely read. My question to you is simple. What should we call this site?
How pathetic is this? Although I’ve finally grown enough confidence to give my own blog a go, I can’t think of an appropriate domain/title that is available so I’ve simply used my email address of the past 25 years. I’ve heard the tales of men who are so defined by their careers that they fall apart upon retirement/separation…but how about simply being defined by your email address?! A truly sad commentary that you can help resolve.
Respond with a comment or a suggestion. It doesn’t need to be substantiated, nor do you need to explain the suggested title if you don’t want. Hopefully, I’ve set everything up so that we can all “VOTE” on the suggestions that are submitted. Over the first few months (or years) we might see one rise to the lead.
In the meantime, however, I’m stuck with jdean3 and I want to make the best of it. I would love to find a better logo than the simple white font we are using now. I also think it is appropriate to keep the (beta) designation, since I am in a perpetual state of testing anyway. So send your logo suggestions along with any comments you have. If you are artistic and want to give it a try, I will give credit to anyone who presents the final logo selected.

I've been given a number of verbal suggestions that I'll keep thinking about, but since I need to test the "comment" section as well as the intensedebate add-on, I will start with the suggestion of WALKABOUT. I used this as the title to my original post since I liked the idea. Comments?
